The Turner barn project was successfully completed in May 2007.  Thanks to everyone in the Mad River Valley community and beyond who helped assure that this farm will be here for generations to come!

Support from the Business Community!

Many businesses have offered assistance to both the Turner's and the fundraising activities.  If you know of a business or you are a business who has helped in the effort, please call Robin McDermott at 496-3567 so that we can give you the recognition you deserve.

American Flatbread - Donated flatbreads to the Turner family, donated flatbread to be sold to raise funds (Carol Hosford is selling them at the State House on Wednesday, Feb 28).

In addition, American Flatbread is hosting a Benefit Bake where they will donate $4 for every Flatbread sold to the Turner fund.  Friday, March 9th!

The Village Grocery - Troy Kingsbury, owner of the VG, is donating 50 cents from every gallon of milk purchased to the Turners.

Waitsfield Wine Shoppe - a new business in town, is donating 5% of their sales on this coming Saturday, March 3 to the Calf Replacement Fund. 

Donation Jars are at Mehuron's, Shaws, Appearances Salon, Sweet Pea Whole Food Market, and Three Mountain Cafe.

Three Mountain Cafe - One of the first on the scene on February 15th, the Cafe brought muffins and coffee for the rescue workers.  Three Mountain Cafe also donated their space for a community meeting on Thursday, Feb 22. Also, the Three Mountain Cafe is donating $1 for every fudge Easter Bunny sold to the Calf Replacement Fund.  Be sure to preorder your bunny by calling 496-5470.

The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce The Chamber's VEDA (Valley Economic Development Association) has pledged $500 to the Turner farm fund, but would like to challenge the members who have not had a chance to make their own contributions to consider donation pledges of any size, regardless of how small.  The chamber will match up to a $500 total contribution.  Call chamber director Susan Roy at 496-3409 with pledges.

Waitsfield Telecom deposited $500 with Allen Lumber toward supplies for the Turner Barn.

Hunger Mountain Coop Donated Coffee for the barn workcrews and had donation cans at the registers.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters donated coffee and insulated travel coffee cups for the barn workcrews.
