Information for Vendors

Booth space is limited.  Booths will be reserved on a first come-first served basis.  Businesses who have booths at the Waitsfield Farmers' Market will be given priority. 

About the Market

This is the fourth annual Thanksgiving Market in the Mad River Valley.  In the past we have also had a Winter Holiday Market.  After three successful years at Lareau Farm, the annual Mad River Valley Thanksgiving Farmers' Market is moving to the Round Barn Farm this year. This move will enable the market to grow as the space in the Lareau Farm Pavilion was limited to just 16 vendors.

Amy Todisco will be managing the market and is currently accepting applications for vendors. Existing Waitsfield Farmers' Market vendors will be given first priority, but the market will be open to other vendors also as space allows.

About the Booths

Booths vary in size because of the unique shape of the "round" barn.  However, all booths are at least 10 feet wide by 6 feet deep.  Very limited power is available and there are restrictions on using open flames for cooking.  If you need either, please make note of that in your application.

Application and Booth Payment Deadline 

  • For the Thanksgiving Market:  Please have your applications in by October 31, 2009.

Booth Fee:  $30 per space payable upon acceptance of your application.  Make checks payable to the Mad River Valley Localvore Project.

Booth space is limited and booths will be assigned on a

FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS.

Farmer's Market Rules

  • All booths must be set up and ready for sales by 9:00 AM.

  • Parking for vendors is at the far end of the field parking for the Round Barn Farm.

  • VT Department of Health rules regarding food handling must be followed.

  • VT Agency of Agriculture rules regarding legal trade scales must be followed.

  • VT Department of Taxes tax requirements must be followed.

  • Product & Vendor Criteria as outlined with the Waitsfield Farmers' Market will be followed in vendor selection.  Priority will be given to farmers and food producers.
