MAD RIVER VALLEY

Localvore Project

Celebrating and supporting local food in the Mad River Valley - those who eat it and those who grow it - through education, community connections, and collective wisdom.

Don't give me 10% more in quantity, give me 10% more in quality.

George Schenk of American Flatbread in response to the food marketing gimmick of "Now you get 10% More for the same price!"

Restaurants and Inns Participating in the Localvore Challenge

Look for the Challenge Participant Sign at participating restaurants and inns.

Contact:  Nancy Baron 496-2763.  If you are a restaurant or inn interested in participating in the Challenge, click here for more information.

If you have ever tried to cook a totally local meal, you can appreciate the effort that these restaurants and inns are making to support the Localvore Challenge.  Think of what you are going through to source local items that are in scarce supply and multiply that times 10 or maybe even 100 for a restaurant and you can imagine what a "challenge" this can be.  Please support them!  Let them know you appreciate what they are doing.
