A TRUE Agricultural Economy

A TRUE Agricultural Economy

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

A few weeks ago there was a beautiful 15 minute piece on Dan Rather Reports about Hardwick and the Center for an Agricultural Economy.

Even if you think that you know what is going on in the Hardwick area, I suggest that you invest a few minutes to watch this story.  I believe that it can serve as a model for what we could do here in the valley in terms of agriculture, but we are a long way from what they are doing in the Northeast Kingdom.

Here are links to some articles and photos about the event.

Hello friends of organic and local agriculture,

I am thrilled to announce that yesterday the 9th Circuit Court in California ruled in our favor in the High Mowing Organic Seeds lawsuit against the USDA regarding the premature deregulation of Monsanto’s GMO sugar beets.  We’ve won!!!  We were joined in the suit by the Center for Food Safety (CFS), Organic Seed Alliance and the Sierra Club and were represented by CFS and Earth Justice attorneys.
