This is a fabulous annual event celebrating the strong network of farmer-chef partnerships throughout the state. This year the Forum will feature guest speaker Woody Tasch, author of Slow Money: Investing as if Food, Farms and Fertility Mattered followed by a walk-around feast at the beautiful Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms. Vermont Cheesemaker’s Festival
By Kate Stephenson, on July 16th, 2009
I was excited to see today in the new issue of Edible Green Mountains that the Vermont Cheesemaker’s Festival is coming up at Shelburne Farms! I’ve never been, but it sounds like quite an event, with 50 different cheesemakers from around the state, 20 wineries and breweries, seminars on pairing cheeses with different beers and wines, a farm tour, and over 100 cheeses to sample. Plus any event at the Shelburne Farms in the summer, and I’m sold! The date is Sunday, August 23rd from 10am-5pm. Passes are $20 per person, seminars are extra and require advance registration. Check it out at Continue reading Vermont Cheesemaker’s Festival
