About the Mad River Valley Localvore Project is the collaborative effort of several people in the Mad River Valley who are interested in educating people in the Mad River Valley and Vermont about the importance of eating food that has been grown and produced locally.

We are a grassroots organization of people who lead busy lives, but are so committed to local food that we make time to maintain our information rich website, recipe database, blog and monthly newsletters.  This doesn't leave much spare time to respond to the frequent requests for information that we receive.

If you have questions about local food in Vermont, we encourage you to contact the many fabulous organizations that we have in the state that are adequately staffed to respond to your needs.  A list of these organizations is below.  We also invite you to spend time here at our website - there is a lot of great information here that we have accumulated over the years.

If you do wish to contact us, you can e-mail us but please understand that we may not be able to reply immediately.
